This is me standing in front of our house in Curundu, 2156-B on 7th Street. The car is our old 1952 Ford Fairlane. The photograph was taken sometime between 1952 and 1958, because in 1958, my father purchased a new Chevy Station Wagon. Both of these cars were used as trucks to carry all of the construction material needed to build our house in Cerro Campana. The last time I went back to the Canal Zone, back in 1990, these wooden houses did not exist. They had all been knocked down and the whole area, north of the Club House, was over grown by the jungle.
